EPSDT is the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment portion of Medicaid. It is available for all children in Medicaid from birth through age 20.
At the core of EPSDT is the Well Child Check-up. These check-ups help doctors and providers to identify any problems your child might have, and then assist with the treatment of that problem. By following the schedule of Well Child Check-ups, parents can ensure that their children receive care from the most comprehensive health care coverage program available.
